CONSIDERING A CHANGE

I've decided I get bored of my hair like the Kardashians get bored of drama-free days. While I absolutely love having longer hair & all the things I can do with it, every time I see a cute short cut I get hair envy, REAL BAD. There's some kind of freedom in having short hair that I never understood until I had it. 
And then there's the color. I've had my natural color back for a year-ish now (maybe longer, I can't keep up & time is an illusion) but I'm itching to go darker for autumn/ winter. I still have a box of dye in my linen closet but haven't committed yet.

Mood Board Vol. 7 | Autumn Vibes

Today was meant to be an outfit post, (don't worry, it'll come) but I'm into mood boards as ever & the autumnal vibes everywhere are making me feel some type of way. (is that still a thing we say??)
I love the warm taupe-y colors of the season & the comfort of a pumpkin latte & a record spinning.

As If: A '90s Revivial

The '90s is a very important decade to me, as it should be for everyone, in my opinion. It brought us some of the best music & shows, & OF COURSE the fashion.
That's what I'll be over here talking about for the rest of my life. Seriously. And lucky for us, some of the best '90s trends have been back for awhile now, & it looks like they might be here to stay? I mean, look how far denim has come. (oh, denim, my love) 
LET IT BE KNOWN: I'm calling it now. 

SLIP DRESSES Although it seems like it should go underneath something, the slip dress is meant to be seen, & that it does. Kate Moss and Rachel Green are a pair of icons when it comes to the slip dress. (also with everything else, obviously) Look to them for inspo.

CHOKERS This is not the first I've written on my favorite necklace trend & it definitely won't be the last. What makes them so special? I'm not sure anybody knows. All I know is they're here to stay.

DARK LIPS As much as I love my bright lips, there's no denying that brown shades have the upper hand at the moment, and for good reason. There's so many different tones that it's pretty much universally complimentary. PLUS it goes with anything!

OVERALLS If I'm being real, when overalls first really started gaining traction again a couple years back, I was a skeptic. The last time I had worn them Sister, Sister was still on the air and frankly, I was scared. Scared of the unknown. Could these glorified jumpsuits really make it in the 21st century? I had plenty of doubt. BUT it was quickly squashed when I actually put a pair on. & the rest was history. 

VELVET DRESSES When I think of the velvet dress I think of Topanga Lawrence. (hyphen Matthews, duh) I feel like she's the queen of the trend, rocking a plethora of velvet looks. Bring that into 2016 with a modern & chic feel, with a pair of heels or boots. I kind of need one of these ASAP, please!

Choker Moment

Chokers have made such a comeback & my '90s baby soul is kiiiind of happy about it. I mean, what's better than rocking your tattoo choker while drinking your capri sun & listening to Backstreet Boys? 

Like any necklace, there are lots of different styles of chokers (& I kind of want them all!) and so many styling options. I've been loving a good overall + choker combo lately..... what about you?

Mood Board Vol. 5 | Rose Quartz Pantone

Okay, so I know we're in the middle of January, but I'm already totally feeling spring vibes. And the recent color of the year announcement? Not helping. 
Serenity is pretty but the one I favor is definitely rose. Blush pink is one of my favorite colors and this is very reminiscent of that. It's feminine and simple and so, so pretty. 
Expect this color to be eeeverywhere this spring.
Which do you prefer: rose quartz or serenity?

I know light pinks are normally a spring thing, but I've been a tad obsessed with blush as of late. Something about it is so whimsical and makes me think of fresh linens and pretty days. 

I'm planning on incorporating some blush into my new room as well. (including that LC bedding up there) I love the combination of white + light pinks.

Bedroom Inspiration

If all goes as planned, we'll be moving in a few months. 

Not super far, just to a new place, which means an opportunity to put together a whole new bedroom.

With the clock ticking, you'd think I'd be, ya know, cleaning out all the crap I've accumulated over the years, but instead I've been down the pinterest rabbit hole. Oops.

I'm digging crisp, girly vibes with lotsa white. {White is everything}

When I was ten, I painted my walls fushia pink. Yeah. My dad questioned it and said, "Are you sure you're gonna want that in a few years?" But I was determined. {Not much has changed since then} Buuuuut surprise, surprise, ten years later and I don't love the bright pink anymore. It's just so.... loud. 

I'm ready for something more chill and cozy. Grown up. 

Because I'm so good at pretending to be one of those.
