Styling Summer Dresses

Dresses are a major staple of my personal style. They're a piece I feel very Kaeleen (perhaps the most?) in, feminine & ready to take on whatever comes my way. It's a good thing too, because in the atrociously hot Texas summers it's about all I can bare to throw on!

We're a want it now society, anything more than a screenshot to get clothing details emailed seeming like a daunting task. Reading 300+ words? No thank you. So the question causing debates all around: is the art of blogging dying?

I recently added this boohoo romper to my wardrobe & brought it out for my cousin's baby shower. It was A HIT with me & now I want to wear it pretty much every day.

Every detail is perfection, from the flutter shoulder to the waist to the print. What's not to love about gingham? First made chic on picnic outings, it's now chic on street wear & I've been a fan of it for too long to not actually OWN a print, ya know?

I chose this specific romper because of the petite cut and straight silhouette, the defined waist breaking things up a bit.

For me, adding a long necklace or choker + necklace combo is the best accessory to sauce the look up a  tiny notch.

SILVER + STRIPED

Off the shoulder tops are such a fun summer-y look, & I love the look they give paired with a good pair of culottes. My favorite way to add a little oomph is by tying a knot at the side, adding some depth to the waist as well. This top is so cute & super cheap! Win win.

The Cold Shoulder

Did you know that these kind of sleeves are called cold shoulder? You learn something new every day.
Anyway, this little floral number makes a great summer dress, especially dressed up a bit with a pair of wedges or sandals. Add a pop of color through an accessory for an added bonus!

Perfectly Floral

When I saw this little floral halter dress recently I had a moment. The flowers, the color, the texture (cotton- SO SOFT!)..... a perfect summer situation. You know my denim rule (adding it to anything makes it better) & while wearing the dress as is is perfectly pretty, adding a vest gives it a bit of a grunged-up look that contrasts the softness in the dress. 
The best accessory? CHOKERS. aaaaand now we twirl.
