A style goal of mine for 2020 was to level up my wardrobe a bit, and that means adding some pieces to it. I like to buy a little at a time when I need it- it helps keep the impulse shopping at bay- and I found a few new additions on a recent (virtual) ASOS run.

A Trick To Adding Color To A Neutral Look
Friday, August 23, 2019
I’ve talked about how I’m really trying to lessen my clothing buying and save the major purchases for (mostly) seasonal, and lucky for you lot (& okay, me) it's almost autumn. It's been a minute since I've browsed the 'new in' on ASOS (the outlet has been the object of my affection as of late) but I always seem to find quite a few gems.

Since being more conscious of sustainable shopping, my purchases have been more intentional, (for the most part) only searching for things I could really use.

A tradition that I've had with myself since I was young enough for my mom to still buy my clothes is getting a new Easter outfit every year.

You ever realize about two hours after you took photos that you had the PERFECT accessory to go with it & failed to style like you’re umm, a stylist? Or is that just me, with this pinafore & a good old newsboy?

My self tan is currently fading miserably & I'm desperately craving a big fat domino's as I write this but at least I come with some good news:

Let's call it the midsummer shopping itch. It's most definitely something I just made up as I sit in this coffee shop, but whatever. Go with it, shall we? I've gone a little 'add to cart' happy and obviously I'm sharing it with you because lol I'm horrible and want you to also buy the things. BECAUSE THEY'RE CUTE, OKAY?

HEY YA BABES! Coming at ya today with a few things you miight wanna add to your wardrobe like, asap. I'm LIVING for the end of summer vibes we've got going (mostly because I thrive in autumn, anyone else??)
& luckily here in the south we can squeeze cropped, off the shoulder, & tanks in just a little bit longer! The stripes on this tie waist top are SO CHIC, and I adore the red color of this layered dress.
I'm already drooling over cosy sweaters and this ribbed knit from f21 looks so gorgeous I've ordered it in both the burgundy & blush! Cardigans are an autumn staple, & a good cream color goes with everything.
Happy shopping!

Oh HEY THERE, babes!
I recently added this boohoo romper to my wardrobe & brought it out for my cousin's baby shower. It was A HIT with me & now I want to wear it pretty much every day.
Every detail is perfection, from the flutter shoulder to the waist to the print. What's not to love about gingham? First made chic on picnic outings, it's now chic on street wear & I've been a fan of it for too long to not actually OWN a print, ya know?
I chose this specific romper because of the petite cut and straight silhouette, the defined waist breaking things up a bit.
For me, adding a long necklace or choker + necklace combo is the best accessory to sauce the look up a tiny notch.
I've listed some more romper picks down below!
Are you a gingham fan? Let's chat about it!

*or, more appropriately titled, a select collection of most worn items, because there was a lot to choose from.
Also while putting this post together I realized that although I have a good color variety in my wardrobe, I kinda wear the same basic denim colors over & over. I should probably fix that......
I got this idea from tanya burr's video & I thought it'd be kinda fun to go through my closet:
(I'll try to link the items as closely as possible but some might be similar)
1// Forever 21 Blush Sweater: I featured a whole post on this sweater, I love it so much. It's soft and comfy & can so easily be thrown on over a bralette on a cold day.
2// ASOS Petite Floral Dress: (sold out; similar) I love this dress because of its versatility, + I love a good high neck detail. I like to layer it with leggings or tights when it's colder, & then I get to show off some leg when it's warm.
(aka the denim section)
3// Mossimo Denim Jacket: A good denim jacket is such a staple & I wear this with literally everything. (well ok, maybe not in the middle of summer) Depending on what you wear it with, it can look more dressed up, which I love.
4// Denim Skirts: (similar) I've got a couple but the one pictured is from f21 & I LOOOOVVEE. I actually think half my outfits include a denim skirt. What can I say? They can be paired with graphic tees, crop tops, the list goes on.
5// ASOS Petite Overalls (sold out; similar) Overalls are another staple I can't get enough of. They're so useful to have on hand to throw on, & I like to throw them on with anything! Pairing them with long sleeve or sweaters in the winter and then some stripes or off the shoulder are a no-fail.
