I’ve talked about how I’m really trying to lessen my clothing buying and save the major purchases for (mostly) seasonal, and lucky for you lot (& okay, me) it's almost autumn. It's been a minute since I've browsed the 'new in' on ASOS (the outlet has been the object of my affection as of late) but I always seem to find quite a few gems.

FOREVER 21 (UNDER) $100 HAUL

A budget of $100, a promo code and a mission: see what kind of haul would happen. 

F21 is a go-to for staple items, which is what ended up happening here. Did I ~need~ two more sweaters in my wardrobe? Maybe not, but THEY ARE COZY AND THAT’S ALL THAT MATTERS. 

$50 IN CLOTHES MENTOR

I went into clothes mentor with a challenge: what could I find with a budget of $50? Four items & $46 later, thank you, I was satisfied. Four things for under fifty bucks is a win in my book, especially when it’s two things at the most on an asos browse. (as much as I love asos, don’t get me wrong) 

IT'S THIRTEEN DAYS INTO THE MONTH AND HERE'S WHAT I'VE BOUGHT SO FAR

Let's call it the midsummer shopping itch. It's most definitely something I just made up as I sit in this coffee shop, but whatever. Go with it, shall we? I've gone a little 'add to cart' happy and obviously I'm sharing it with you because lol I'm horrible and want you to also buy the things. BECAUSE THEY'RE CUTE, OKAY? 

SPRING HAUL | FOREVER 21, TARGET, & FASHION NOVA

Each season I take it upon myself to add new items to my wardrobe, (call it an excuse to shop, I call it a necessity) and I have been on a ROLL lately. I’ve shared a few looks on here & instagram stories, and I wanted to do a complete haul as well. (I haven’t ironed any of the pieces, so that you can get a feel for how easy/ tough the fabric is to wrinkle. I've also added the link to each item in the name, for your convenience. HERE WE GO)

WHAT I ORDERED FROM FOREVER 21

I was four coffees in when I hit the order button. THAT'S what that photo means!! Anyway, I ordered some things & since I'm highly impatient, I thought I'd show you now rather than wait. 

But don't worry, this won't be the last you see of these! 

// Belted Shirred Dress in rust If I could wear dresses all the time I probably would. A spring must have, I love the color of this dress & the belt accent!
// Distressed Trim Tee in taupe You can never have too many tees! Simple, neutral, & veritable are traits I look for- everything this tee has.  
// Striped Strapless Jumpsuit I have yet to own a jumpsuit because of length, but this culotte style one seems perfect for the petites. I've got a pretty cream kimono (similar) that would fit right in over it! 
// Quilted Faux Leather Crossbody in light pink

I've been in the market for a blush crossbody & I finally found this one! I love that it's a tad reminiscent of Chanel & has gold hardware. My only concern is room.... I hope there's enough space! GAMBLE.

TARGET MINI HAUL

Hey, hi! You know how when you get back from target with all the things you really didn't need & all you wanna do is show them to anyone who will listen? 

Well, I hope you're good listeners.....

First things first: Lipstick. I adore NYX's matte line & whipped caviar stood out to me for its neutral tones. I'm all about bright in the springtime, but sometimes I prefer a something a little more subtle. 

I hadn't added a nail polish to my collection in awhile, & the pretty lavender shade of essie's 'ciao effect' caught my eye. I could not find the link ANYWHERE, maybe because it's part of the resort collection which just launched, but look for it in store!

I'm a believer that you can never have too much stationery, even if it's not necessarily needed at the moment. You never know when you'll need it! This cute little planning & plotting notebook came from the dollar spot, & I couldn't find a link AGAIN, (get it together target) but I found a similar one that's just as cute.

Some new shoes were a must & I fell in love with these metallic sandals. (for all my regular size babes, here's some similar ones!)
The neck scarf (is that the official name for it??) trend has been on point & I finally decided on this chambray one to start off. Very chic. (the only question is, can I pull it off? Will report back)

Summer Mini Haul | Old Navy & Ulta

Oh hey, hello! Yesterday I popped over (did I just say popped over? Okay Zoella) to Ulta & Old Navy for a few thing & I wanted to share first impressions. 
SO let's get to it, shall we? 
I'm just gonna go ahead and call Ulta the Target of makeup stores, because, let's be real. You go in for one thing & come out with a partridge in a pear tree. OOPS. I'd been searching for some temporary hair chalk because I always see those super rad girls with pretty pastel hair & since I don't think I could pull a whole head of color off, hair chalk is the way. I spotted Dippity Do's hair chalk palette (it's not available online but in stores it's 97 cents. CENTS.) I'd never heard of this brand before but apparently it's been around since the '70s-ish. So it's gotta be good, right?? Will update.
Aside from the chalk, this was kind of a NYX haul.... I've been wanting to try their liquid suede lipsticks as I've heard good things about them, although I tend to stray from liquid formulas because I just feel like I'm putting on gloss. These do dry more matte, but I will say the formula is kind of intense. Overall I think it's got the seal of approval though! Life's a Beach is pretty vibrant and Tea & Cookies is more of a muted nude, which I don't have a lot of when it comes to lipsticks. 

Last summer I did a write up on NYX's colored liner, and I still love the idea of playing that up. Even better? Glitter colored liner, because I'm twelve. I picked up lavender  & sky shimmer, which are both light & pretty pastels that I think can play up any look.
NOW ONTO CLOTHES:
I've only just recently started shopping at Old Navy & I can't believe what I've been missing! They have some gold finds, like this dress that I immediately fell in love with. It's 100% cotton so it's super light & cool, and I obviously love the stripes. Speaking of, one can never have too many striped tees, no? SO MANY styling options. The crochet on this tank is so pretty & I love the coral-y color I picked! Can easily be tucked into some denim shorts. BAM.

Forever 21 Haul

I recently took a little trip to Forever 21 and found some pretty fall inspired gems.

HINT: There's a few dresses involved.

My obsession with scarves began at an early age and it shows no signs of slowing down, so it's only natural that this plaid one pulled me in. 

Keeping with the plaid trend, I snagged this gingham because you can never have too many of those.

Now we've come to the best part: dresses.

This grey one is absolutely perfect for autumn layering and I love how the cut makes it looks like two separate pieces. Always a sucker for fashion magic.

There's something about those fall/ winter whites, which is why I fell for that button down. It's flowy and with some tights and cowboy boots it's autumn ready.

I'm so in love with this creamy lace dress (similar link) that I want to wear it every day. Forever. It's perfect for all the holiday parties.

Confession: I haven't had a plain LBD in quite some time. But when I put this one on, I was sold. It's such a great wear-on-its-own and layering dress, plus it's super soft and flowy, so it can be worn year-round.
