I know all the ‘blog rules’ say quality over quantity, and not to post just to post but when have I ever been a rule follower? (JK, I actually follow the rules a lot but when it comes to blogging? eh) 

Anyway, I’ve got a kickass playlist to share anyway so SCREW THE RULES. What are blogging rules anyway, and we do we think we have to follow them? Hmm, a post for another day? Maybe.

Recent Music Loves | WDAC Playlist

Monday Playlist

My spotify is full of playlists for just about every mood, holiday, and emotion possible, including the playlist that's a little bit of everything and a lot of feels.

Cozy indie vibes to nostalgia, it's all there and I'm sharing it because hey, it's Monday, clearly an emotional time. Am I right? (Side note, I think I'm gonna end every post with that from now on. No better way, am I right?)

Music for the Weekend | Delirium

Last week Ellie Goulding's new album Delirium was released and y'all. 

I feel like I've been saying this a lot lately, but it's one of the best new releases I've heard recently. 

It's reminiscent of Halcyon, with electronic pop feels. But, it's also a fresh sound and every track seems to add something to the whole. 

A few of my top picks?

// Around U (A bit of a dance anthem with a chorus to match)

New Music For the Week

If you need some new music in your life, Jana Kramer and Selena Gomez both released new albums on Friday.

I really like Jana Kramer and Thirty One is definitely country. Love and I Got the Boy are two of my favorite tracks, along with Said No One Ever.

I have to admit that the Selena album is good. Like dang good. 

Same Old Love has been an obsession ever since it's been a single, and now we have Camouflage and Rise to add.

And finally, I've taken the liberty of putting these songs into a playlist.

Because when Taylor Swift recommends songs, you listen to them.

What have you been listening to lately?

A Little Fall Playlist

It's happening. Slowly but surely, autumn is making its descent and I couldn't be happier. 

Since the comfiness of autumn is one of my favorite feelings, that comes through in the season's playlist. 

Indie and pretty acoustics make for a chill, cozy mood, with the occasional pop/ rock jam thrown in.

And lots of Ed Sheeran, because Ed Sheeran songs are basically fall in musical form.

A summer playlist

Every summer should have a playlist that sets the season, am I right? 

For me, this playlist usually includes lotsa country, because there's something about a good country song in the midst of summertime. 

Fun pop and chill indie also usually make the list for me.

Basically anything that exudes happiness and the feeling of lazy summer days and nights that you never want to end.

Music to help get you writing

Music is a big part of inspiration for me when I'm writing. Unfortunately, if I'm listening to pandora or even a record, sometimes I start to focus more on singing along than on actually writing. So I decided to create a playlist of music that won't distract me as much. I love instrumental covers and I find them relaxing and inspiring. Hopefully you do too!

Throwing it back

Between my 2000s Pandora station and the amount of One Tree Hill re-watching I do, I end up with a lot of nostalgia. Certain songs add to that nostalgia, and suddenly I'm back in middle school with my studded denim flare jeans. {Okay, so my judgement wasn't always the best back then}
