Recent Record Additions 002

Monday, January 11, 2016

It's been a hot few minutes since I let you in on new additions to my record collection, and there's so many good picks it was hard to narrow it down.

But I've got it:

Zella Day- Kicker

The first Zella Day song I ever heard was 1965 (which is on this album) and I was instantly hooked on her voice, which is full of indie vibes.

Favorite tracks:
// High
// 1965
// East of Eden
// Hypnotic
// Mustang Kids
// Sweet Ophelia
// Compass

Adele- 25

At this point I'm pretty much head over heels for this album and for Adele herself. Her long-awaited comeback was definitely worth it.

Favorite tracks:
// Hello
// Send My Love (To Your New Lover)
// When We Were Young
// Remedy
// Water Under the Bridge
// Sweetest Devotion

Ellie Goulding- Delirium

This album is one big dance party. I feel like Ellie just gets me and the fact that there's not a song on this record I don't love at least a little proves that.

Favorite tracks:
// Something In the Way You Move
// Keep on Dancin'
// Around U
// Codes
// Holding On For Life
// Love Me Like You Do
// Don't Panic
// We Can't Move to This
// Army

What about you? Any record recommendations?

Music for the Weekend | Delirium

Friday, November 13, 2015

Last week Ellie Goulding's new album Delirium was released and y'all.

I feel like I've been saying this a lot lately, but it's one of the best new releases I've heard recently.

It's reminiscent of Halcyon, with electronic pop feels. But, it's also a fresh sound and every track seems to add something to the whole.

A few of my top picks?

// Army (A bit of a power anthem)
// Codes (A pop-y beat)
// Around U (A bit of a dance anthem with a chorus to match)
// Love Me Like You Do (Has new meaning ever since this)

Listen to the whole album here.

How do you feel about Delirium? Tell me your favorite songs on it!
