I’ve been drooling over teddy coats since last autumn/winter, when they suddenly took over Instagram. It looks like they have no plans of leaving this year, & after shopping around for the ~perfect~ one, I found this babe on shein. (aka the babe that keeps selling out like there's no tomorrow- WONDER WHY)
WHAT I'M WEARING | coat: shein | turtleneck: kohl's | skirt: f21 (similar) | socks: kohl's | booties: target (similar)
The first thing to note about this piece is it's a bit oversized on a petite body. If you're into that sorta thing, then obviously it's gonna work out for ya. I wasn't totally sure about it at first- I grabbed my normal size small & the so-opposite of a cropped & tailored fit sometimes feels foreign to me.
But it works for when I'm going for a cozy warm look- which will probably be most days in the coming months.
The great thing about these coats is that depending on the color, they can be worn with literally anything. Although I opted for a non-neutral (but blush ~is~ a neutral! I scream into the void) for more of a color pop, the shade can still be paired with anything from black to olive green.
Go from zero to boujee in .5 by throwing the coat over your shoulders, or adding a belt for more of a casual vibe. You'll get a totally different feel depending on the cut you want- the oversize makes for a cozy style while a tailored fit will give you a more put together feel.
No matter what kind of teddy ya go for, it'll be there for you all winter long.
