After seemingly the longest wait there ever was, PLL is back. And so is the confusion and frustration and theories. Sigh.

+ Who else was convinced that other girl was Bethany? I kind of forget about Sara Harvey for awhile to be honest, but here she is, alive. Has she really been in the dollhouse the whole time?  Yikes.

+ The past however many episodes, I've been really feeling for Alison and I think she's actually changed. How can you not change once you're tortured by A? And you cannot say she isn't brave.

+ Andrew has always been on my radar as sketchy and he's definitely part of something but I just don't think he's A. I feel like that's gonna be the whole thing this first half of the season, trying to prove/disprove him.

+ Charles was confirmed a DiLaurentis and I thought Alison would know who he was, but from next week's preview, it seems like she doesn't. Maybe he's not her brother. Or he is and was put up for adoption or something? Or MAYBE it's Jason's real name and the other little boy in the home video is someone else. WHO KNOWS

My summer nail color picks

Monday, June 1, 2015

A pretty manicure goes hand in hand with summertime and can make all the difference.

Warmer months have me gravitating towards fresh and bright colors, and I've picked five of my personal favorites that transform your mani into instant summer magic.

Maybelline Color Show Pretty In Peach: I looove a good peach color and this is it. It's light and perfect for a day beside the pool, armed with peach tea of course.

Essie Blossom Dandy: I've done a post featuring this one, as it is the peeeerfect summer color. Bright but soft, it's a tropical escape in a bottle.

Essie Pret-a-Surfer: An electric blue, Pret-a-Surfer looks really nice on and the formula is smooth and pretty.

Essie Peach Daiquiri: I think this was my first experience with Essie polish and I adore this color! It's not peach so much as a coral, and after two coats it's the perfect summer touch.

Essie Tuck It In My Tux: White is a classic color that looks fabulous in any season. I like white nails in the summertime because it gives the illusion of a bit of sun-kissed skin. I've tried a lot of whites in my day and Tuck It In My Tux has my vote.

Obviously I'm a bit obsessed with Essie polishes. #oops

May Favorites

Friday, May 29, 2015

This cannot already be my fifth favorites post of the year.

But apparently it is. So let's get right to it.....

Beauty:

On a recent Target trip I decided to pick up this palette in Golden Horizons. I'm a total sucker for a good palette, and so far this one hasn't disappointed me. I think once you get to a point it's hard to find colors that you don't already have, but the thing is, no two palette/ duo/ etc. colors are the same. They have their own little formula and I'm really liking this one. The colors are pretty pigmented and  you can get so many different looks.

This mascara is to die. It's pretty cool when you're gifted products that quickly become some of your must-haves like this one has. When I first started using it I thought I'd be using it more for when I wanted some added drama to my lashes but still gravitate to my other mascara for everyday, buuuut I'm finding that's changing. This stuff is that good.

This buttery lipstick in the color Pops is also a result of that Target trip. It's a little darker than nude, but it's not bright either. I love bright lipsticks but wanted something a bit more neutral for those hot summer days that are coming. I find the formula really nice and it seems to be long-lasting, which is a must for me.

Misc:

The Signature Soy line of candles {from Target} are so lovely that I've added two to my collection. Sugar Blossom smells like sugar, obviously, and then Sweet Spun Sugar reminds me of cotton candy at a carnival and both of them smell soooo good.

Sarah Dessen's newest book came out this month and I've been obsessed. I plan on writing a whole post on it, so I can't give too much away, but I will say that it's a bit heavier than most of her other books, but in a good way. I'm getting close to the end and I know it's inevitable but I don't want it to be over.

As far as music goes, I've totally been feelin Want to Want Me. I'm not really a Jason Derulo fan, but this song is so perfectly catchy and fun. Halsey's EP is amaaazing and I cannot wait until her full-length album is released!
