Read away

Wednesday, September 10, 2014

Last week I told you the books that are on my wishlist, and now I'm sharing the books that I've recently read.

If you're in the market for a new book to read, I recommend these gems:

1// Paper Towns- I read this one because I love John Green and the way he writes. This book was really heartfelt and kinda sad. Not TFIOS sad, of course, but it still makes you feel.

2// Fangirl- This was the first Rainbow Rowell book I read and WOW. It's very well-written and funny and real. What first attracted me was the title, because let's be real, I fangirl about a lot of things. And then I fell in love with the story.

3// If I Stay- This is one that I'm rereading, and there's a reason for that. I had forgotten a lot of what happens in the book, but I always remembered that it was such a good story. And sad. But so, so good.

Have you read any good books lately?

I hope you never feel like you're not enough.
I hope you never feel like the you that you have become is not strong or tough or smart. You are.
It's doesn't matter what you do or what you like. You are beautiful and strong just the way you are.
Don't ever be afraid to shine.
It is always enough. You are always enough.

Pandora's {music} box

Monday, September 8, 2014

When there's not a record on the record player, I'm probably listening to pandora. I love it.

A lot of times I use the handy shuffle feature, but there are certain stations that I find myself clicking on time and time again. I guess you could say these are my favorites. What are they, you ask? Let's see...

1// All-American Rejects radio- So much throwback.

2// Carole King radio- Because what's more peaceful than Carole? Plus there's fun oldies that make you wanna.... what was a cool dance move back then? They make you wanna do that move.

3// Fleetwood Mac radio- Stevie Nicks. That is all.

4// The 1975 radio- For those indie moments.

5// 2000s Pop radio- More throwback for ya. These are gems that should not be forgotten.

Honorable mentions:

Lorde radio- Makes me wanna put on lotsa lipstick and be all indie hipster.

Taylor Swift radio- You didn't really think you'd escape it, did you?

And last but not least, Christmas radio. Because everyone listens to Christmas music in September, right? Or is that just me? Here you go anyway. Enjoy.

Now that I've shared my favorites, what are yours?
