I've never been much of a foundation person. I feel like I have my BB cream and I'm set. 

But something in me recently decided to try some of the "real" stuff, if not for that good old fashioned dewy, fresh look we all hope to achieve. Or maybe it's just me.

I love the Fit Me line (Their concealer is to die) so I trusted the foundation would be just as good.

A tip: Figure out what your skin type is. I honestly have had no idea... all I know is my forehead is oil city. So when a foundation says it's for normal to dry skin, it should totally work on me, right? (I can feel the beauty gurus cursing me)

Yeeeeeah, not so much. 

Every time I touched my face it felt oily. And don't get me started on that forehead. Even when I wasn't touching it it felt heavier and just.... ick.

However, I absolutely love the look and staying power of this stuff. It kind of glides on and you get more of that dewy feel. With a powder on top, it lasts all day and the added coverage looks lovely. 

So it's not the foundation. It's me. As long as you get the right one for your skin, this stuff is the perfect addition to your collection.

Forever 21 Haul

I recently took a little trip to Forever 21 and found some pretty fall inspired gems.

HINT: There's a few dresses involved.

My obsession with scarves began at an early age and it shows no signs of slowing down, so it's only natural that this plaid one pulled me in. 

Keeping with the plaid trend, I snagged this gingham because you can never have too many of those.

Now we've come to the best part: dresses.

This grey one is absolutely perfect for autumn layering and I love how the cut makes it looks like two separate pieces. Always a sucker for fashion magic.

There's something about those fall/ winter whites, which is why I fell for that button down. It's flowy and with some tights and cowboy boots it's autumn ready.

I'm so in love with this creamy lace dress (similar link) that I want to wear it every day. Forever. It's perfect for all the holiday parties.

Confession: I haven't had a plain LBD in quite some time. But when I put this one on, I was sold. It's such a great wear-on-its-own and layering dress, plus it's super soft and flowy, so it can be worn year-round.
