For months social media/ blogosphere has been abuzz with talks about Fashion Nova-- an online clothing site akin to asos, but OMG SO GREAT BECAUSE KYLIE JENNER! Instagram models! 

I honestly didn't know too much about it, but after hearing so much raving I decided to give it a go. 

I only ordered three things, & only one out of the three actually fit. (it didn't fit well mind you, I just made it work) Something you should KNOW if you're going to order: SIZE UP. At least one size, I would actually go with two. It's insane that sizing isn't the same all across the board, but what can ya do?

It should also be noted that it's hard to know what your body will look like in an item, because every model is so grossly photoshopped and it's just not representative.

THE ORDER
The Ahead Of Yourself bodysuit (in small) is the only piece that fit, & I'm glad it did because bodysuits are final sale. (even though it doesn't say it on the product page) I love a good stripe & it's a really good suit.

Off Daze Midi Dress in XS was WAY TOO SMALL. Buttons were a poppin, skin was a showin,.. it was not cute, & I was so disappointed because i fell in love. I definitely want to get this in a bigger size, most likely a medium.

Total Betty Plaid Dress in S-- I could get away with this in a medium as it was just a tad too tight in all the wrong places. But again, SO CUTE, just too small.

Initially it took the order about four days to even process before it shipped out, which is cutting it close, but I let it slide because once it shipped it only took a couple of days to get to me.

THE VERDICT

I wanted to like FN because of all the good things I've heard, but I think they just got lucky. (or sponsored, it is what it is) But their return policy is less than stellar & I'm not a fan of picking things that *might* fit & then if I have to return them being stuck with store credit. 

THE CLOTHES ARE SUPER CUTE, but to me, it's not worth it. I would rather spend money on a place that I know & trust the sizing, and am friendly with the return policy.

For now, I'll leave FN to the (instagram) professionals.

REPUTATION.

It's been three long years since I've been able to talk about a new taylor swift album, and in true WDAC fashion, it's a must. It was known in the beginning that this album would be a bit of a departure from her precious works, and that rang true with the release of LWYMMD. Jack Antanoff & Max Martin were a driving force on this album, as they were for 1989. (that bad boy pop sensation of a record) Reputation is just as much as a pop record, but with a darker twist, almost a taylor/ lorde hybrid.

SO let's go down the tracklist:

1// Ready For It

This one was a pre-release and honestly a pretty genius way of opening the record, with the ending lines 'Let the games begin / Are you ready for it?'

2// End Game

The Future/ Ed Sheeran collab I didn't know I needed, this track is the most R&B of the record, reminiscent of an early 2000s number. The chorus is arguably the most catchy part

3// I Did Something Bad

Two words: GOES HARD. I think I nearly broke my back trying to dance during the first listen. The lyrics are incredibly cohesive with the POV she tries to convey throughout much of the album: the POV of the victim, the manipulator. (AKA her reputation.. get it yet?)

4// Don't Blame Me

I don't like playing favorites but this is no doubt up in the top three. The beat is INCREDIBLE, very syntho and the lyrics are her signature haunting ones.

5// Delicate

Imogen Heap vibes on this track, especially in the opening notes. This is a different kind of love song than we're used to with Swift, but that's what makes it so haunting and pretty. 'Is it too soon to do this yet / cause I know that it's delicate.'

6// LWYMMD

When this track was first released, it was my favorite because I didn't have anything to compare it to. (although it took me a bit to get used to) While it's still genius lyrically, it doesn't necessarily compare to the others.

 7// So It Goes

Maybe the most different track of the album, So It Goes is a love song of sorts, with lines such as 'all our pieces fall right into place , get caught up in a moment , lipstick on your face / So it goes… I'm yours to keep / And I'm yours to lose'

8// Gorgeous

I don't even have anything to say on this one other than STILL OBSESSED.

9// Getaway Car

Such a lyrically cohesive song. About a relationship gone wrong, it's a catchy little track that reminds me of Style somehow, even though they're not necessarily related. As she says, 'nothing good starts in a getaway car.'

10// King Of My Heart

From what I've seen, this is the most underrated track on the record, about how sometimes a love comes when you're perfectly fine on your own, and they end up being the one you were waiting for.

11/ Dancing With Our Hands Tied

This reminds me of Wildest Dreams in that it's about a love that you basically know will end, but you hold onto it as much as you can anyway. 'You said there was nothing in the world that could stop it / I had a bad feeling'

12// Dress

A more scandalous song (as taylor songs go at least) about a secret love, and my favorite thing about it is her vocals on the chorus. They're almost haunting. (wow, how many times can I use that word)

13// This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things

I like the placement of this song, because as the album progresses she gets happier and then chiller and then BAM, don't forget. I may have also nearly broken my back dancing to this one. She said she purposefully made the chorus sound like a bunch of schoolchildren because that's what she felt like she was dealing with, and ain't that a mad.

14// Call It What You Want

Hands down my favorite of the pre-releases, CIWYW is a love song if I ever heard one, and there's a hint of self empowerment somewhere in there. 'All the liars are calling me one / Nobody's heard from me for months / I'm doin' better than I ever was '

15// New Year's Day

Taylor always picks the perfect tracks to close out a record, and this time is no different. With NYD we get the ballad she's so great at making, and with this she makes it clear that the old Taylor isn't as dead as she wanted us to think.

THE BEST FOUNDATION

It's been a MINUTE since I've done a proper product review and I wanted to go back to the basics a bit, old school if you will.

The first time I tried Chanel's Les Beiges foundation was for my cousin's wedding, some two years ago. The bridal party all went to get our makeup done at the mall (felt kinda bougie, highly recommend) and that was the foundation the girl used on me. I fell IN LOVE & bought myself some that same day.

That particular one was called 'all in one' & it was GLORIOUS. It literally lasted me until a few weeks ago. Maybe that's because I didn't wear it every day, but still. It lasts a LONG time.

But as it turns out, somewhere in the past two years, they discontinued the all in one, possibly because it was so similar to the regular les beiges, AKA the one featured in this post....

The range comes in fourteen shades, already a boost above the many less-than-inclusive foundations. With a creamy formula that is easy to apply with your fingertips (& blend with a beauty blender!) the application is smooth & dang near flawless. Coverage is medium but buildable. I normally only go in with two or three pumps & it's enough for my comfort.

Let's talk about wear-- I always set my foundation with a powder, but even with that sometimes certain foundations just don't hold. This is not one of them, however. At the end of the day I can still tell it's on, but it doesn't feel heavy, if that makes sense. You know it's there, but you don't know. It's one of those really wearable products & I love that.

I've tried SO MANY foundations throughout my makeup wearing days-- pretty much a decade now-- and I can honestly say that this is my #1 pick. I'm such a drugstore advocate and most times those products really work just as well as high end, but when it comes to foundation, if you want something that truly lasts, feels light but wearable, and good coverage, you've gotta splurge a bit.

My budget kind of hates it, but it's worth it!

ALL ABOUT ICE ROLLING

I first heard about the ice roller from lauryn, & was instantly curious, & with a list of benefits like anti-inflammation, swelling, & cooling & tightening the face, who wouldn't be interested?

I gave in awhile back, ordered one from amazon, and tested it out for about a month or so for y'all. I've incorporated it into my morning routine, the first thing done even before washing my face.

First, rolling ice all over your face first thing in the AM is the BEST wake up call I never knew I needed. Kinda tingly, kinda fresh, your skin wakes up & feels great.

My face doesn't get puffy a whole lot (except for hormonal) but I feel this is a good preventive in case my skin decides to go rouge. Once I use the roller everything seems a bit... smoother somehow. It also does wonders for headaches.

I was actually out of town over the weekend & didn't bring my roller. and there is definitely a difference in just the two days I went off my routine. My face got used to the cool & my under eye circles have rebelled.

Maybe it's a placebo affect or maybe it really works, who knows. All I know is I don't remember what life was before ice rolling.

A Friday Face Mask.

I'm always ready & willing to try out new (or just new for me) products for myself & for y'all. I GUESS you could call it a blogging perk...
So I've heard about formula 10.0.6 for the longest time, and I've always wanted to try a face mask of theirs. So, during a recent target binge run I decided to pick up a travel size of their papaya & citrus to see what it was all about. 
It's a brightening mask made to restore brightness & resurface skin. So how did it hold up? The formula smooths nicely onto the skin, however it's not as easy of a peel off as you would expect. You're supposed to peel after 10-15 minutes & you'd think it'd be super quick & easy, right? Not so much, unless I'm somehow peeling wrong, LOL.
The difficult peel isn't a terrible issue for me, since it's easily rinse-able and the mask itself seems to do its job. Immediately after washing off, my face feels fresher & a bit brighter, like I've just had a massage? (I've never actually had a massage- GASP- so I'm just guessing here) I haven't noticed a whole lot on my pores, but let's be real, I'm never able to tell a lot about my pores anyway. Who knows if they're clogged? (that's probably bad. I should fix that)

Nip + Fab Micro Blur Primer

Primers: a necessary but often overlooked product. I didn't even use one for years. But the fact is putting on face makeup without a good primer is like making a grilled cheese without the butter. The cheese doesn't stick & it's just a mess.

So when Nip + Fab sent me their Micro Blur Fix Primer to try, I was ready. I was already familiar with the brand & trust their products to a T. 

This primer "works to prime, blur, and mattify the skin" for a smooth complexion. The thing I love most is the end result when put on before my go-to foundation. Flawlessly smooth, is how I'd put it.

The formula is creamy & smells like a fruit smoothie. (LOL) If you use your hands to apply, the product will feel a little gooey afterwards.- the ONLY downfall.

Maybelline Master Contour Palette

I'd say I'm fairly good at doing my makeup, thanks in part to years of practice and killer beauty gurus directing me. But contouring is the one art I could never quite master. Sure, I could sweep on some bronzer with the best of 'em, but the technique? 

I didn't really have one.

Then, Kallie came in and saved the day with this post and I was instantly intrigued. Somehow a palette seemed less intimidating, so of course I had to test Maybelline's out for myself.

Though there are only two shades, (light to medium & medium to deep) they seem to be pretty universal. I was a little hesitant about the highlight since it's a powder, and so many of the "big" highlighters are stick, but this one goes on super smooth and literally gives you a sparkle.

Instead of using the blush in the palette, I've been using my NYX HD blush in Hamptons, but it's totally a preference thing! Finding whatever blush works best for you specifically is key. 

I've been incorporating this palette into my routine so much that my face already feels a little exposed without it, so the WDAC seal of approval was inevitable. If you're not 100% sure about contour, or even if you just want to simplify the routine a bit, this is your bff.

Borghese ReAffirm Day Fluide

Y'all know I'm all about simplicity when it comes to skincare. I like easy, but I've also been playing up my routine a bit lately, since your skin gets bored sooo easily. (I don't actually know if it does, just go with it) 

Which is why I've been digging Hydrology by Borghese's day fluide lately.  

I'd heard of Borghese before but hadn't had any experience with their products, and this was the perfect first impression. 

This is a moisturizer that feels soft and light on the skin plus contains SPF 15, a must for the face. It's also got IQ3 complex and although I'm not totally sure what that is (and google was no help) it apparently helps with anti-aging, which is nice no matter your age. 

It's perfect for first thing in the morning after cleansing, as it's super refreshing and the formula creates a flawless base for makeup or the rest of your skincare routine.

If you're looking for light and hydrating, this stuff's gotcha covered.

Maybelline Fit Me Dewy & Smooth Foundation

I've never been much of a foundation person. I feel like I have my BB cream and I'm set. 

But something in me recently decided to try some of the "real" stuff, if not for that good old fashioned dewy, fresh look we all hope to achieve. Or maybe it's just me.

I love the Fit Me line (Their concealer is to die) so I trusted the foundation would be just as good.

A tip: Figure out what your skin type is. I honestly have had no idea... all I know is my forehead is oil city. So when a foundation says it's for normal to dry skin, it should totally work on me, right? (I can feel the beauty gurus cursing me)

Yeeeeeah, not so much. 

Every time I touched my face it felt oily. And don't get me started on that forehead. Even when I wasn't touching it it felt heavier and just.... ick.

However, I absolutely love the look and staying power of this stuff. It kind of glides on and you get more of that dewy feel. With a powder on top, it lasts all day and the added coverage looks lovely. 

So it's not the foundation. It's me. As long as you get the right one for your skin, this stuff is the perfect addition to your collection.

Maybelline the Blushed Nudes

Maybelline's The Nudes palette is a go-to for me, so it was inevitable that their newest palette in the collection, The Blushed Nudes, would come home with me. 

I've been testing it out for a bit and trying different looks, and by now it's safe to say that I'm actually starting to prefer this one over the regular nudes. The colors are mostly shimmer and it's got a nice mix of light and bold. I've been mixing a lot with colors from this palette and the options are endless.

"Blushed" looks are what I tend to gravitate toward for summer, so naturally I've been reaching for this palette almost daily. I particularly like the pink on the top right and the taupe-ish on the bottom. (The only thing I don't love is that the colors don't have names!)

These are highly pigmented colors and I've learned that some even go on better if you use your finger and blend it out with a brush. 

I think I've found a new favorite! (I say that every time I get a new palette. Oops.)

Influenster | CoverGirl Super Sizer Mascara + Intensify Me Liner

I received these products complementary from Influenster for testing purposes, but all opinions are my own.

I recently received one of Influenster's latest voxboxes featuring two new CoverGirl products, The Super Sizer Mascara and Intensify Me! liquid liner by LashBlast.

The liner's formula is unique, as it has a paddle-shaped tip, almost like a pencil, but goes on just like a regular liquid liner. You can get two looks with the liner: simple or dramatic.

If you use the fatter side of the tip you'll end up with a very dramatic line that's perfect for smoky or night looks, and I like using the thinner side for my wings. 

It's not something I'd use as an everyday liner, but it's definitely good if you're going for that added intensity. 

I'm seriously digging the Super Sizer mascara. The wand has these cool little combs that makes it easy to make sure every single lash gets volume. Using the flat side of the base, twirl the wand like normal and your lashes are instantly filled.

It can seem a little intimidating at first, but once you work your own little tricks in, your lashes will look amazing. This is perfect for those times you want the look of falsies without actually having to deal with them.

I've even found that putting on my Rimmel ScandalEyes right after gives maximum results that I love. 

The more I use this mascara, the more impressed I am by it!

I've searched high and low for a specific release date for these babies, but NO LUCK.

But they should be out very soon, if not already, so you can get fab lashes + wings just in time for those long summer nights.

Maybelline Color Sensational's Faint for Fushia

One of my finds on a recent Target haul was a Maybelline lip color that's perfect for spring/ summer.

And it's matte!

Sold.

The shade is in fushia, but it's one of those fushias that isn't too bright or loud. I absolutely adore it, as well as the way it glides on and stays aaaaalllll day. 

Seriously. Go ahead and eat and drink and whatever. No worries..... your fushia will still be there bright as ever.

Matte is where it's at (new catchphrase?) and I'm totally in love with the feel and look of this lipstick.

L'oreal La Palette Nude 2

I've recently heard a lot about L'oreal's La Palette Nude 2 and decided to try it out for myself.

I don't have the first palette, but from what I've seen it's a lot of neutral browns, whereas this one is more purple-y taupe colors. 

I really like the pigmentation of these colors and there is a good mixture of matte and shimmer, which I prefer- it's always nice to have options. 

I particularity like the pink and silver colors; they're very versatile and pretty. Of course, so are the rest of them..... 

After having a bit of time to play with this palette and create a few different looks, I'd definitely have to recommend it.

Essie Blossom Dandy

On a recent Target trip, I decided to try out a color from Essie's 2015 spring collection.

I ended up picking Blossom Dandy, a pretty blue, almost turquoise color that's perfectly pastel.

I absolutely looove the formula. The color glides on and you don't need more than two coats. 

The wear is pretty decent; because I work with my hands a lot my manicures (unfortunately) start chipping fairly quickly, but this lasted nearly three days before I saw any flaws.

This is by far one of the best spring colors I've seen lately and it's definitely going to be getting its wear. Essie never seems to disappoint......

Your new BFF's name is Frank

Y'ALL. 

I am officially in love.... with Frank.

I'd heard about Frank from all the cool bloggers but had never tried it. That is, until my friend tagged me in an instagram photo telling me this stuff was riiight up my alley. Because it smells like coffee. Duh.

Next thing ya know, I've got Frank ordered {they had me at free shipping} and was patiently awaiting the arrival.  

It was beyond worth the wait. I wasn't sure if I was doing the scrub right the first time {Is there even a wrong way to do it? I don't know} and there seemed to be more of it on the floor of the tub than on my body. 

But I followed through and the second I rinsed everything off my skin felt smoother. Not just kind of smoother, but like all-I-wanna-do-is-touch-it smooth. Is there magic in that bag?

The thing about Frank scrub is it's literally coffee. It doesn't have a bunch of chemical crap a lot of "natural" things do- it's just coffee, almond oil, brown sugar, water, and some other oils. That's it. 

Another thing- it's said to help with eczema. Say whaaa? After my third scrub I haven't seen too much of a difference, but I do have a patch on my wrist that I sometimes get from my watch {beauty really is pain} and it's always better after the scrub. 

Some tips:

// I've gotten a routine down to scrubbing three night a week- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. You can do it as little or often as you'd like, but 2-4 times a week is recommended. 

// Take a shower as usual and then scrub after so you still have some water- scrub's gotta stick to something!

// Your bathtub will look like you're showering in dirt/hair dye/whatever. Get used to it.

// Let the scrub soak into your body for about 5-10 minutes. 

What to do while you're Franking? {Don't make that dirty}

// Put in a hair mask
