THE FACE MASK EDIT

Wednesday, July 26, 2017

Face masks are not a new part of skincare, but the trend is relatively fresh, for good reason. When used on a regular basis, masks are a hydrating, anti-oxidant filled treat that smooth imperfections & even out skin tone.

Plus, they're pretty dang fun to put on, no?

Let's talk a few of my picks, two of which I've touched on before:

Formula 10.0.6 Papaya + Citrus
This is a peel-off mask that unclogs pores & brightens things up. I like the way my face feels afterwards- bright & fresh!

This is a new addition to L'oreal's mask line & I am IN LOVE. I don't use clay masks very often & I don't know why not because it is such a revitalizing thing. In just ten minutes it draws out impurities in the skin & fixes up your complexion. I've never had a facial (I KNOW) but I imagine this is what one feels like.

Fresh Rose Mask
Everyone in the world needs a rose face mask, in my opinion. What's better than rosewater that cools and hydrates the skin? There's just something boujee about it. This particular mask is moisturizing and smooths out the skin, leaving you feeling rejuvenated and calm.

Freeman
Freeman is that brand of masks that you see at walmart for super cheap, but is super high quality. In fact, I'm pretty sure the first mask I ever tried was this brand. They have so many different ones, like banana and avocado & oatmeal. Heaven!

*I received this item for review, but as always opinions are my own.

What's on your face mask edit?

A Friday Face Mask.

Friday, March 10, 2017

I'm always ready & willing to try out new (or just new for me) products for myself & for y'all. I GUESS you could call it a blogging perk...

So I've heard about formula 10.0.6 for the longest time, and I've always wanted to try a face mask of theirs. So, during a recent target binge run I decided to pick up a travel size of their papaya & citrus to see what it was all about.

It's a brightening mask made to restore brightness & resurface skin. So how did it hold up? The formula smooths nicely onto the skin, however it's not as easy of a peel off as you would expect. You're supposed to peel after 10-15 minutes & you'd think it'd be super quick & easy, right? Not so much, unless I'm somehow peeling wrong, LOL.

The difficult peel isn't a terrible issue for me, since it's easily rinse-able and the mask itself seems to do its job. Immediately after washing off, my face feels fresher & a bit brighter, like I've just had a massage? (I've never actually had a massage- GASP- so I'm just guessing here) I haven't noticed a whole lot on my pores, but let's be real, I'm never able to tell a lot about my pores anyway. Who knows if they're clogged? (that's probably bad. I should fix that)

WDAC seal of approval: check!

Have you tried these face masks? What are you recommendations? I'm always looking for more!
