I can't even remember the last time I talked about a book, which means it's been way too long. I definitely have not been trying to get through the same one since January, NOPE.
It's not even that it wasn't a good book- it was really good. I just spend FOREVER on certain novels. Am I the only one?
Anyway, the goodreads synopsis goes like this:
Eleanor... Red hair, wrong clothes. Standing behind him until he turns his head. Lying beside him until he wakes up. Making everyone else seem drabber and flatter and never good enough...Eleanor.

Park... He knows she'll love a song before he plays it for her. He laughs at her jokes before she ever gets to the punch line. There's a place on his chest, just below his throat, that makes her want to keep promises...Park.

Set over the course of one school year, this is the story of two star-crossed sixteen-year-olds—smart enough to know that first love almost never lasts, but brave and desperate enough to try.
I thought this was going to just be a light & fun summer-y read, but it turns out it was a lot more eventful & emotional. The ending wasn't particularly happy, which is kind of unusual in YA romance. It was kind of left open-ended, though, so you're still left with that semi-fuzzy feeling. If you're up for a bit of intense storylines, this is probably right up your alley. 
While it's not my total favorite of recent reads, it's still one I recommend, especially if you're very into YA romance. I'm not as much as I used to be (gettin old, I guess) but this was a pleasant break from the usual. 
NEXT UP ON MY LIST: The Bell Jar. Complete 360? YES. That's the way I roll. (I'll never say that again, promise)

Mountain Time

Hi hey, hi. I'm back in Texas & back to WDAC. I know I was only gone for two posts, but it felt like weeks. It felt good, however, to take a little break. Not have to fret about getting a post out just to have it OUT. Cheers to no more doing that!

I'd never been to Denver before (or Colorado at all) so I don't really know what I was expecting. But turns out it's a super chill place & people are just doing their thing, which sometimes includes hiking to the top of mountains. No big deal. When you only have like two near death experiences on an 1,000 foot mountain it's a good day, am I right?

Nothing like a little fresh mountain air to get your senses going & renew your inspiration. Oh, don't worry, it will go just as soon as it came. But for now, I'm still on mountain time.

Travel Style

Traveling to different places is always fun, but the actual travel part? Not so much. And no matter if you're in a car for hours on end or having to pass through airport security, you're gonna want to be comfortable, RIGHT?

My travel style is the one time things are EXTREMELY low-key. I like to just throw on some shorts or leggings (depending on the time of year- for my Colorado excursion this week shorts it is) & a tee.

BOOM.
