When summer hits the natural instinct is to reach for lighter and less makeup products.(or at least for some it's less, with me I can't seem to part with what I've deemed necessities.. it's really a struggle)

Anyway, today I've put together a little makeup menu of what my every day routine has been looking like as of late.

Base
Chanel's Les Beiges healthy glow fluide in no. 10 is probably my favorite for lighter coverage, but still feeling like you've got enough. & I always mix a little bit of oil in with it so it's extra dewy.  Then it's on to concealer- I just swipe it on any blemishes and then my lids as an eyeshadow base. For a little perk up under the eyes, Pixi is the way to go, as well as a bit of highlight from Sonia. Finish everything off with some highlighting powder and it's on to the eyes!

Eyes + Brows
I like a palette I can do a lot with, so I've been reaching for my Anastasia World Traveler palette nearly every day. (apparently this palette was limited edition.... does that mean it's not available anymore?? um. this does not sit well with me.) Of course I like a good classic wing, but in the summer I also like playing up my liner & I've been loving the glitter trend. I will never not be in love with Maybelline's Lash Sensational.... it transforms your lashes in a way I've never experienced from another mascara, and I don't think I ever will. (cue that dramatic music they used to play on the hills when they would awkwardly stare at each other for two full minutes.) As far as the brow routine, it's the same, always the same.

Cheeks + Lips
I've got a lotta love for contour palettes. They're simple, everything you need is in one place, & it's just quick and painless.  After the bronzer & blush is on, I've been pulling out my Chic Luminosity stick again to up the highlight a bit. I like the highlighter in the palette, but sometimes you just need a little more, ya know? To top off the look, I've been loving a pink/peach toned lip & I'm having a moment for liquid lipstick. For a matte look, I set everything with NYX's setting spray and bam! DONE.

What about you? Tell me what's on your makeup menu!

Makeup Menu 001

I love playing around with makeup and trying new looks, but I still have a current go-to I reach for when in need.

This isn't a set look of course, sometimes I mix it up. But for the most part, this is the no-fail routine.

Let's delve in, shall we:
Base
It seems like I'm always reaching for Chanel's all-in-one healthy glow to start off under the eyes. I feel like it's good coverage and it's got a little SPF as well. Then it's on to the essential BB cream that gets great coverage yet feels so light. It has more of a matte feel to it, but it's still a favorite. This ELF under eye concealer is the bomb, always making it look like I'm not sleepless and over caffeinated.

Eyes
I know it's near the end of summer, but it's still a thousand degrees which means if I'm gonna do a shadow, it's gonna be light. And maybe with some shimmer.... which is why I've been using the heck out of my Lorac Unzipped Gold and Maybelline's The Blushed Nudes palettes. An oldie but a goodie, Line Stiletto still gives a perfect wing. And for those lashes, I'm seriously addicted to the Lash Sensational madness.

Brows
I'm still obsessed with Anastasia's Perfect Brow pencil. So much precision, every time. Finishing off with some clear mascara helps the look last foreeeever.

Cheeks + Lips
And finally, this NYX blush gives my cheeks a sweep of rose that's not too drastic. In the summertime I always gravitate toward brighter lipsticks, (because, duh) and two of my absolute favorites are from NYX and Maybelline. A perfect finishing touch.

Tell me what products you've been reaching for lately!
