While some people tend to go overboard with the patriotics on the Fourth of July, I do love a good red white & blue ensemble.

ON BEING AN AMERICAN IN 2018

I was always taught to be proud of where you're from, and so from the time I was old enough to understand, I had a certain appreciation for America. Sophomore year of high school we dug deep into Ellis Island and the rich history of culture. It wasn't the first time I'd learned about it, of course, but the first time I truly understood. Everyone who docked onto the Island was coming here in search of a better life, the American dream. The textbooks don't always teach the not so pretty side of our history, however, nor the present. 

FOURTH OF JULY PICKS

With the Fourth just over a week away, it's time to get in festive mode.    Sparklers, stars & stripes, & champagne, here we go! I kind of adore the asos tasseled dress & the flag muscle tee. HOW CUTE!
