What They Wore | The Bold Type Velvet Jumpsuit

Ir's been a minute since I've featured a What They Wore & when I saw this jumpsuit on The Bold Type (if y'all still aren't watching that show I don't know what to tell you) I knew I wanted to do one. 

I found the exact item via the Bold Type Style tumblr (my new fave tumblr, by the way) which is by Diane Von Furstenburg and retails for $540 on Net-A-Porter. It's a velvet number and satin-trimmed in a pretty olive green color. 

Now I love you DVF, but I also love a good dupe. I love searching for dupes. & when I find a good one? 

THE BEST. 

In this case it was a little more difficult, as the detailing on this jumpsuit is very specific and hard to find in other pieces. I finally settled on one from Halogen that retails for $59.40. It of course isn't exactly the same- the shade of green is a bit different & there's no color contrast on the satin. 

But I think it does do a nice job of bringing the DVF vibes to it & it's definitely a piece Sutton Brady would approve.
