Growing up I wasn't a huge watch fan, (even though high school was filled with fossil & Michael Kors) but once I got to college and into my twenties I realized just how much of a necessity it is. &, if you choose the right one, it can be the perfect every day accessory, which is where Jord watches come in.
I’d never heard of a wooden watch, and when Jord contacted me about collaborating, I was instantly fascinated by the concept. Handcrafted women's & men's wooden watches (that can even be engraved) that hold up when faced with the elements? I was eager to try it out. Finding a watch when dealing with eczema can be a daunting task, I’ve recently found out, and apparently wood is a material that doesn’t make things worse. WHO KNEW?
Let’s talk about my watch in particular: it’s from the Frankie series, and although the face is a tad big for a tiny wrist like mine, the band offsets it a bit, so the face isn’t as in your face as it might be normally. The dark pink/ purple-ish color of it is one of the reasons I picked it as a favorite, knowing the ~aesthetic~ matched mine. It’s also the perfect little spring accessory to tie an outfit together.
I’m currently v into florals (okay, I say currently but I actually mean at all times, ever) paired with a pair of white pants/ or a skirt. Something causal but that looks effortlessly put together, tied in with a watch to say ‘I got places to be and I’m serious about it.’
ALSO: Get excited because I've got a giveaway with Jord for y'all! It ends on April 29th so be sure to enter now! Use this link: https://www.woodwatches.com/g/
